Chris Edwards, CEO & President, Somerset County Business Partnership
Chris Edwards has dedicated his career to non-profit management. After several years working for the United Way in Ocean County, Chris joined the Business Partnership in 2013 as the Director of Business Development. In that role, Chris created the Business Partnership Nonprofit Council and reorganized the Young Professionals Division. Under Chris’s leadership, Business Partnership membership has increased from 600 to 815+ members at the current time.
Chris was promoted to Vice President of Business Services in 2018 and charged with providing value to our membership to achieve the goals of our Strategic Plan. In that capacity, Chris led a task force that created a new SCBP website featuring a Business Resource Hub. Chris worked closely with the Business Partnership’s Economic Development and Tourism divisions to develop a toolkit of services to support Somerset County employers.
Chris Edwards represents a new generation of leadership for the Business Partnership. His goals are to work with our Board of Directors, Somerset County Freeholders, membership, and our community partners to widen and strengthen our culture of collaboration, to be the “one stop shop” for business resources, and to give our employers tools to attract and retain talent.
